Description of the Post |
As a part of the RF, the overall responsibility is lying under the fulfilment the requirements of smooth operation of RF nodes. Testing and integration of new NE with the existing network is also part of his responsibility.

Main Responsibilities |
Major Responsibilities
- Monitoring & maintaining the radio KPI of network, BSC and Cell level and making recommendations for further improvement of the network quality.
- Analyzing TEMS and Qvoice drive test measurement and making recommendation to improve situation.
- Planning actions for various marketing or country events (like EID, C oncert etc).
Issuing WO for capacity and quality purposes.
- Issuing trouble tickets to O&M for any operational problem.
- Analyzing and taking proper actions during various benchmarking. Integrating new sites.
- Performing Functionality tests during major network modification. Investigating Customer complains to improve perception.
Analyzing KPI counter and Radio parameter.
- Collecting field data to investigate and troubleshoot network problem.
- Network Design & Capacity Planning – Network design activities involved
- Clear understanding of 2G network structure, coverage strategy, planning tools and designing tools.
- Field & Technical Surveys.
- RF planning related work & RF network design.
- Network Optimisation & Performance
Knowledge about the optimization features of the network and the different ways of planning to optimize the
network.
- Detailed Analysis and Optimization of existing & planned 2G/2.5G sites for Drive Test Analysis & KPIs.
- Live 2G site performance verification activity using Actix and TEMS Post processing tool to validate the coverage as the designed, rigging errors & performance issues.
- Investigate problematic site in correlations between drive test data, statistics, counters, alarms and take corrective actions.
- 2G/2.5G Optimisation; Frequency re-tuning, 2G drive data analysis, Co Channel & Adj Channel Interference Identification, Neighbour analysis.
- Analysing Drive Test data to evaluate RF related issues in Setup failures, Call Drops, Handover Failures, suggesting missing Neighbour Antenna Changes, down tilt, Reorientation, Neighbour modifications etc.
- Drive test for GPRS/EDGE performance and analysis log file.
- Creating reports & templates while post processing Log files.
- Collecting and analysing Network KPI’s for GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
- Recommending changes to the Network Parameters to improve Network Performance.
- Comparing Network Performance before and after Optimisation activities.
- Network Audit & Benchmarking
- Physical site audit
- Optimization parameter and setting analysis
- Performance Statistics analysis
- Providing recommendations for the client’s issues.

Qualifications and Experiences |
B.Sc. in Electrical and electronics, Computer Science & Engineering, Telecommunication, or related subject area from well known reputed University with minimum 6 years of experience in Telecom service provider at least 2 years of work experience as assistant RF manager. |
